Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 2 Combat Veterans for a Bow Hunt for doe out of Edna, Texas. Arrival is Friday, October 18 after 3 and departure is Sunday October 20. This will be a bow hunt only and the hunting will be Saturday morning and evening. There are no blinds set up for bow, so hunter will either need to brush themself in or bring a popup blind. For this trip, Housing only is supplied. Veteran only needs to bring their bow, ice chests, & knives for cleaning their kill. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting License.  

If you are interested in this event and you qualify as a Combat Veteran, please complete this application: http://www.huntingwithsoldiers.org/combatveteranapplication  In the section that states "Give the information of what Hunting/Fishing Trip are you applying for" put Edna Deer Hunt. You can not have hunted with Hunting with Soldiers before, or hunted or fished with more than 2 other Organizations, or multiple times with the same Organization to qualify (Our Dove Hunts, Sweat Equity Hunts, & Child of Combat Veteran Hunts do not count against you on previous hunt). If we do not fill this within 24 hours of it being posted, then we will open it up to those who have been out with us prior on a hunt. So, if you have been on a previous hunt with us, other than sweat equity and dove, do not apply unless we announce we are opening it up to those who have been out. You must not be on the list as going on another hunt with HwS as well. If you are chosen, and you are on the Reserve List for another hunt, please advise after you are chosen. Person chosen must send copy of DD214, or Form if still Active Duty, to show proof of being in Combat to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com. Any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete will result in the removal of the application and removal from HwS activities. No illegal substances are allowed in or around the hunting area or the accommodations. If you can not do without it, do not apply.
