Hunting with Soldiers is hosting 3 Combat Veterans for our annual James Thiers Memorial hog hunt & possibly fishing out of Llano, Texas. Arrival is Thursday May 01 (You can arrive on Friday the 2nd if need be) and departure is Sunday May 04. Meals and housing are supplied. Veteran is responsible for getting to and from the trip. Veteran only needs to bring a couple or more ice chests for the meat, weapon & knives for cleaning their kill & fishing gear. Veterans also need to bring bedding and bathing supplies. You must have and show proof of a valid Texas Hunting/Fishing License. 

If you are interested in this event and you qualify as a Combat Veteran, please complete this application: http://www.huntingwithsoldiers.org/combatveteranapplication  In the section that states "Give the information of what Hunting/Fishing Trip are you applying for" put James Thiers Memorial Hunt. You can not have hunted with Hunting with Soldiers before (Sweat Equity Trips do not count against you, nor does the dove hunt), or hunted or fished with more than 2 other Organizations, or multiple times with the same Organization to qualify. We will open this hunt up to those who have been out with us before if it has been posted for 24 hrs and not filled after 0600 hrs on 03/25/2025. You must not be on the list as going on another hunt with HwS as well (No trading hunts). If you are chosen, and you are on the Reserve List for another hunt, please advise after you are chosen. Person chosen must send copy of DD214, or, if still Active Duty, the forms to show proof of being in combat to huntingwithsoldiers@live.com. Any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete will result in the removal of the application and removal from HwS activities. No illegal substances will be allowed on or around the property. If you can not do without it, do not apply...
